Right of Way Specialist
to support our Utilities/Real Estate Group in Pennsylvania. Build your career and help build a better environment by providing real estate support to include negotiations, acquisitions assistance for utility and other infrastructure projects.
Essential FunctionProvide real estate support for acquisitionsNegotiate acquisitions/divestures as needed on various utility projectsComply with Federal, State and Local real estate lawsPrepare required Deeds, Easements, Options, Condemnation Packages and Agreements as necessaryConduct property settlementsTestify as needed in condemnation casesAttend project meetings, prepare and provide project updates and meeting minutesPrepare Comparable Market Analysis reports and just compensation lettersAppraisal ReviewsResearch county land records and review title commitmentsRequired Skills and Experience
Negotiate for the acquisition or sale of real estateAssemble and interpret information from a variety of sourcesPrepare comparable market analysis and just compensation reportsPrepare bid packages, option contracts and condemnation filingsCommunicate effectively as a witness in trials and in public meetings and hearingsObtain required project specific state notary publicEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, engineers and the general publicDemonstrate knowledge of the court system, its records and its rulesDemonstrate knowledge of Federal, State and local real estate laws, standards and guidelines such as the Uniform Relocation and Real Property Actsprepare accurate cost estimatesabstract and interpret real property land titles and financial instrumentssolve real estate related issuesInterpret maps, deeds, plats and plansFour (4) years of experience with a condemning authority providing acquisition, relocation assistance or property asset management servicesExperience in a variety of acquisition and relocation projectsProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointPreferred Skills and Experience
Experience working with Electric Utility projectsKnowledge of Electric Utility SystemsExperience reviewing Title CommitmentsGeneral Knowledge of Pennsylvania areaOther Duties
