Compensation:
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083
Assistant Transit Management Analyst Level II: $76,577 - $85,288
Assistant Transit Management Analyst Level I: $65,954 - $78,079
Responsibilities:
Operations Training is responsible for operation, technical and safety training for hourly and supervisory titles within the Department of Subways. The incumbent will be responsible for providing a wide range of professional functions to support the operation of MOW, Stations, and RTO/Field Operations employees.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Tracking the progress of and keeping accurate records for hourly/supervisory employees in MOW, Stations, and RTO/Field Operations.The candidate will perform analytical functions which include researching and analyzing data relating to operational procedures and administrative systems.Managing the status of projects and coordinating with executives across the agency to provide updates and timely submission of information utilizing charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports.Develop and recommend procedural or process improvements.Counseling employees on attendance, operational infractions, and internal/external customer service in conjunction with TWU/SSSA unions and Management.Handling employee terminations, resignations, voluntary & involuntary demotions and ensure that the information is shared and communicated to the appropriate departments.Monitor and track employees that are out on long-term sick and on worker's compensation.Assist management with corrective actions in handling unprofessional employees.Represent NYCT as the SME in lawsuits, labor relations, worker compensation and unemployment cases.Utilize the PEETS-Probationary Employee Evaluation Tracking System to monitor extensions, terminations and to ensure evaluations are performed in a timely manner.Desired Skills:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)Ability to function independently with limited work direction.Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify problems.Must possess good decision-making skills with a high degree of professional integrity and ethics.Possess superior ability to pay attention to details and be thorough in completing work tasks.Knowledge of UTS & ATS timekeeping systems are preferred.Education and Experience:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the following areas whereby:

Special Note: To be eligible for placement in Assignment Level II, individuals must have, after meeting the minimum requirements, one additional year of professional experience as described in "2" above.
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of NYCT Department of Subways.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Access, Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Teams)Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
Selection Method:
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview.
All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
