Shift: Dayshift - 5-8's or 4-10's with weekend coverage every 5 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 40

Experience: Two years preferred in outpatient, one year inpatient or skilled nursing facility preferred. New graduates accepted.

License: Current Physical Therapist license in good standing required.

Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Must-Have: Graduate of an approved PT program with a BS PT, MPT, MS PT, or DPT. Understanding of physical therapy modalities and procedures. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description:

- Evaluate and treat patients with neuro-muscular, skeletal, and developmental disorders.- Implement therapeutic procedures to maintain, improve, or restore functions.- Provide direct patient care, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and supervise PTAs and Rehab Aides.- Mentor, engage in research, and participate in community service.- Educate at various levels and assist in the recruitment of rehab personnel.- Assess patient conditions to initiate or modify treatment plans, consistently aware of patient's status.- Delegate appropriately to Physical Therapist Assistants.- Treat in both land and aquatic environments.- Instruct patients to ensure maximum treatment compliance and document given programs.- Progress patient treatment effectively and set realistic treatment goals.- Communicate patient conditions with physicians and attend care conferences as needed.- Participate in fieldwork education and orient new Rehabilitation staff members.- Attend continuing education experiences and contribute to policy and procedure revisions.- Manage patient caseloads, including scheduling and addressing insurance issues.- Ensure maintenance of therapy equipment and report malfunctions.- Provide interpretation of therapy referrals and perform other duties as assigned.- Maintain accurate documentation and records for clinical, third-party payers, and regulatory agencies.- Engage in continuing quality improvement activities to achieve the best patient outcomes.- Foster core values of achievement, creativity, teamwork, quality, and integrity.- Behave professionally and ethically in all interactions.- Consistently courteous and attentive to patient and departmental needs.- Participate as a team member to support department goals.- Answer phone calls courteously and direct appropriately.
