Who We Are: The Advanced Electronic Warfare department is dedicated to the advancement of Electronic Warfare Technology through the performance of applied research and development of leading edge solutions to support our DoD customer needs and protect our warfighters. Objectives of this Role: This role is intended to be a key member of our Electronic Warfare research and development team and will be driving strategies and implementations of our Electronic Warfare solutions to meet our customers’ expectations. Lead and work with multidisciplinary team of engineers, software developers, hardware developers, firmware developers, and technicians in the execution of complex research and development, design and programs in support of the advancement of Electronic Warfare solutions. Significantly contribute to the development of technical solutions that integrate AI/ML functionality with Electronic Warfare solutions and align with Modular Open Systems Approach and SOSA requirements/standards. Manage and/or provide project management support for cost, schedule and performance of assigned complex EW programs. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Design, develop, integrate, test and deploy new capabilities (software/hardware) in the areas of threat detection, identification, and characterization, as applied to Electronic Warfare. Work on 2nd and 3rd Gen AI systems (Cognitive & Neuromorphic AI) as applied to Electronic Warfare. Work with a team of engineers and software development staff to create software processing capabilities including application of machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques. Develop creative solutions to difficult problems in areas from signal processing to technique generation, and collaborate with client technical representatives and SwRI senior engineering and software staff. Prepare technical documents and support proposal preparation & business development as required. Requirements: Requires a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering. 15 years: Related industry experience as an Electrical Engineer. 15 years: Experience providing systems engineering support of multiple DOD weapons systems. Preferably Electronic Warfare systems and/or Air Force airborne systems. 15 years: Experience with integration and test of various electronic warfare systems. Prefer direct experience with ALQ-131 or ALQ-184. 5 years: Experience leading Open Systems Development as applied to DoD solutions. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
