Ensure products meet quality conformance specified by customer.Responsibilities:Perform "samples" selection and package for shipment.Perform visual inspection of random samples of product selected during a production run, or post production, looking for a variety of possible defects such as ragged edges, torn or wrinkled pages, incomplete cuts, incorrect bindings, smeared or blotched colors, dirt on the product, and any other visual defect that is out of specification.Follows inspection checklist and records any identified defects.Follow established quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure product meets quality conformance specified by the customer.Prepares written reports and provides notification to manufacturing management of known or found defects.Identify potential issues and involve department Lead and/or management to determine an appropriate solution.May assist with special projects or more complex customer orders.May assist with disposition of defective or non-conforming product.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED preferred2 or more years of experience in a quality control/assurance function in a printing environment requiredRequires good knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job.Strong oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain quality policy, methods and/or procedures when completing assignments, as well as provide a level of detail required to resolve issues.Requires very good organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines and ability to coordinate phases of work with others.Additional InformationThe national pay range for this role is $17.00 to $19.00/ hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
