Job Description:
Responsible for providing accounting advisory services to clients that consult on complex technical accounting matters which arise from regulatory or strategic business changes such as new accounting standards adoption, accounting standards application, accounting framework conversions, Initial Public Offering readiness, financial statement carve-outs and on-call accounting advisory services. Manage client expectations and resolve technical and service issues quickly and thoroughly. Lead change efforts effectively while providing high quality deliverables on a timely manner. Communicate with client stakeholders including external auditors, audit committees, and client management to identify, assess, and deliver substantiated advice. Identify regulatory and market trends that are applicable to clients and become a trusted client advisor. Serve as an active member in the market, build relationships within and outside of the company, and leverage existing company networks to identify new opportunities. Collaborate within the Accounting Advisory Service teams and CFO Advisory practice, across regional teams, and functional service personnel to identify whitespace opportunities on existing clients and provide an integrated experience to clients. Supervise Senior Associates as needed, per per engagement.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related discipline, plus 2 years of relevant experience as a Senior Associate, Audit Supervisor, Accountant, or alternate related acceptable occupation. Work or academic experience must have included: 1. Providing financial statement audits, accounting advisory, or similar transaction advisory consulting services. 2. Accounting standards such as US GAAP, and SEC reporting requirements. 3. Researching, evaluating, applying, and documenting the conclusions reached on complex technical accounting matters in a technical accounting memorandum. 4. Interpreting and applying financial statement reporting requirements including drafting of private and public company financial statements and related footnote disclosures. 5. Assisting clients in complying with SEC financial reporting requirements (10Ks, 10Qs and other public filings). Up to 30% travel to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. May work remotely.
Compensation for position: $142,000 - $150,000/year
