General Summary:
Performs system monitoring, administration, and analysis support for the detection of cyber incidents and performs necessary steps to remediate HW/SW vulnerabilities.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions):
Monitors the network and supporting systems to detect and prevent security events (including intrusions and virus incidents). *
Provides basic support in the initiation and maintenance of system accreditation.*
Identifies where systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.*
Provides recommendations for protecting networks, workstations, servers, and IT assets.*
Assists in conducting basic audits to ensure information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans and best practices. *
Involved in passive evaluations (compliance audits) and/or active evaluations (vulnerability assessments).*
Provides assistance in the development of Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation documentation, standard operating procedures, policies, and security instructions for both networked and standalone computer systems and provides oversight and guidance for multiple systems.
Provides routine support of program control processes and accreditation of systems.*
Performs basic analyses to validate established security requirements and may recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.

Required SkillsRequired Experience
Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Minimum of 3 related certifications may be used in place of unrelated degree field
US citizenship required; must be able to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance at or above the SECRET level
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Security + certification within 6 months of hire
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Windows 10/11 experience
Able to work/perform under minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing duties as a NAVY RMF ISSO/ISSE or validator within DoD/DoN (DoDI 8500.01, DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253)
PowerShell ISE
Hyper V or any virtual machine topology
ESS (Endpoint Security Solutions)
ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution)
Current certifications: Security+, Windows 10 or above
Experience with eMASS (Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service), ePO (ePolicy Orchestrator), NAVY RMF/ATO experience
