Job Description
Insight Global is looking to add a Secret cleared Oracle Database Administrator to the team sitting fully remote in support of a newly awarded Federal contract. The DBA will be responsible for the following:
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all databases. Include database schemas, data models, entity relationship diagrams, and other relevant technical information.
Monitor database performance and availability.
Troubleshoot and Resolve Database Issues, promptly to minimize downtime, using appropriate tools and methodologies. Document all issues and resolutions for future reference.
Develop scripts to manage, maintain and provide reporting on vital database activities and execution of jobs.
Review, test, and implement vendor-issued system security patches, product updates, Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs), and Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletins (IAVBs) within mitigation deadline suspense dates.
Maintain records of all security patches, IAVAs, and IAVBs applied to systems, along with associated compliance dates.
Maintain a log of all database software licenses, including purchase date, renewal date, and license key.
Submit a request to the government lead using the appropriate government form prior to installing GOTS/COTS licenses to ensure tracking and prevent an unauthorized commitment.
Analysis of data growth , capacity planning and maintenance activities.
Build and implement database backup and recovery strategies.
Set up tables and data synchronization
Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.
Design, develop, implement, and provide operation support of database security.
Prepare disaster recovery (DR) documentation and participating in DR activities to ensure database recovery at the DR site is within set Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
Automation of routine tasks.
