Job DescriptionChubb Personal Risk Services offers an array of property and casualty insurance products for individuals and families with fine homes and possessions. Our clients include many of the most affluent families in the world, executives, business owners and top collectors of art, jewelry, wine and automobiles.Chubb Personal Risk Services is seeking a Personal Lines Manager for the Indianapolis branch. The Personal Lines Manager will be an integral part of a team with responsibility for profit, growth, retention, and expansion of Chubb's personal insurance portfolio in the Indianapolis branch. The manager accomplishes these goals through effective agency management, developing and leveraging strong agency relationships, and effectively positioning Chubb as the High Net Worth carrier of choice. The manager is also expected to cultivate prospects and work with agents and internal constituents to shepherd them through the sales process. The manager will have the opportunity to work with world-class agents, and develop a territory with large High Net Worth personal lines accounts. This position will be based in the Indianapolis area, and manages agency relationships across the state of Indiana. The Personal Lines Manager will report directly to the SVP Regional Sales Leaders *The title and job grade for this position will be determined by the candidate's experience. Responsibilities of the Personal Lines Manager include: Growth and stewardship of a $35M+ book of High Net Worth business, managing relationships with existing & newly appointed agency partners Ownership of sales processes, including positioning, large account management and production, customer visitation, prospecting and pipeline management, and lead source development Accountability for building meaningful relationships through frequent agency travel, superior service and producer education Marketing, including successfully deploying new products and services, monitoring of competitor activities and marketplace trends, and adding value to agents' sales processes Producer management, including analysis of agency performance and executing business plans to maximize results in support of Chubb's goals and strategies Finding and developing center of influence relationships; connecting agency partners to these lead sources for new client acquisition Collaboration with Underwriting, Risk Consulting, Claims, Branch Administration and all Commercial Lines departmentsQualificationsCompetencies:Results Orientation: Proven track record of sustained high sales performance and achievement with an ability to drive results and innovate in a fast- paced environment by:Recognizing and capitalizing on opportunitiesDistinguishing what results are important with a focus on achieving high-payoff activities and goalsChallenging self and others to do better without minimizing accomplishmentsIdentifying critical success factors to accomplish desired results and develop plans to achieve themEnsuring goals and objectives are measurable and focus on goals not activitiesContinually looking for ways to change and improve processes to create improved business resultsAdaptability: Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations by:Responding well to changeHandling multiple demands/prioritiesAdapting to best fit with situation at handHandling conflict effectivelyDeveloping new skills quicklyAccepting new responsibilities willinglySales Acumen: Leverage market, business and technical knowledge and insights by:Possessing a big picture perspective and detailed operational understanding of own area of responsibilityEmploying a disciplined sales process to ensure consistent execution of best practices (agency assessments drive pipeline management, business plans set goals and drive execution of tactics, effective agency travel advances new business activities/results, etc.)Effective utilization of Salesforce to view dashboard information, review open opportunities and add updates, run agency financial reports and summarize agency travelIntrinsic curiosity paired with effective questioning and active listening skills Requirements:5+ years personal lines marketing, underwriting, or sales experienceSolid technical knowledge; including policy forms and regulatory environmentA proven track record of successful sales and negotiating winsExcellent marketing skills, including results analysis and customer serviceExceptional oral and written communication ability, as well as effective presentation skillsDemonstrated knowledge of agency management and effective business planningThe ability to work autonomously and effectively manage multiple prioritiesAbout UsChubb is a world leader in insurance.
