Department Specific Job Functions: - Provide post-operative care for the complex surgical population.- Assess and intervene appropriately to ensure positive outcomes during the post-operative phase.- Monitor and care for newly placed tracheostomies.- Assess and maintain wounds that require a wound vac and other complex wound management.- Assess, manage, and educate patients and families on new ostomies.- Work collaboratively with the general surgical residency and other residency services.
