Electrical Inspector

Electrical Inspector:

Good knowledge of, but not limited to: Local jurisdiction codes LA City Electrical Codes National Electrical Code, Cal OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements.

The ability to :

Inspect installations of low and high voltage electrical systems, data and Information Technology systems, fire alarm systems, elevators and escalators, and other electrical systems related to commercial building construction, Public Works type construction to ensure conformance with other applicable documents. Airport experience is preferred.

Our Candidate must have experience in:

>Electrical/IT inspection staff shall have a thorough knowledge of the methods, materials and techniques of the electrical/IT trade.

>The ability to diagnose violations and hazards in new and existing electrical/IT installations and take a proactive approach during construction.

>Have a general understanding of low voltage systems including fire/life safety and information technology.

>Have the ability to read and interpret and communicate contract documents, electrical codes, applicable standards. Good verbal communication with all stakeholders.

>Electrical/IT Inspectors must have the ability to set priorities, the ability to make decisions and work effectively with minimal supervision, the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with management, stakeholders, contractors, construction workers, the public and must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. The ability to work collaboratively with other Inspectors.

Electrical/IT inspection staff shall have at least

3 years or more of experience performing electrical/IT inspections;

Preferrably For task on an Airfield,

PLUS

3 years or more of experience with airfield lighting is required.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

-Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Electrical Inspector; -Proof of NFPE-70E standards. Completion of training must have been achieved within the last 3 years -30-hour Cal-OSHA training prior to assignment. The 30-hour training will have been received within the last 4 years.

Candidates shall have the ability to wear proper Personal Protection Equipment to inspect roof activities, climb stairs and ladders.
