Summary
Sells products and services to existing and new customers. Develops and maintains sales strategies to increase sales and profits through major accounts and complex product lines. Builds strong customer relationships. May develop product/service alliances for major customers. May be instrumental in developing cross-divisional sales opportunities. Has no direct field service responsibility. Handles special projects, as assigned.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and identify areas for growth in both new & existing accounts Sells products and after-market services to existing and new customers in the Pressure Pumping, Drilling, Gas Compression and Power Generation (mobile) markets Support and grow our existing accounts for field service applications Promote custom engineered products to existing and new markets Identify and participate in all relevant trades shows and associations Capitalize on synergies that effect business across NA Identify additional service opportunities to support the Houston service facility Identify areas to increase profitability and reduce costs Provide monthly forecasts for respective market Develops account & market strategies for assigned area of responsibilities Captures and records market intelligence and communicates to organization Negotiates account pricing and terms & conditions Increase market share/capture new business Communicates voice of customer to key stakeholders internally to achieve internal objectives Knowledge and understanding of customer requirements per specifications Adjusts and/or coordinates complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation Responsible for accurate and timely order maintenance Communicate with OPS/Applications on new product ideas and status of on prototypes Can work with various levels of management w/in assigned accounts from individual contributors to executive management (C-Suite) Works with Engineering/Applications on the specifications of the equipment Other tasks which may fall within your expertise and knowledge as assigned by management Interaction with locally based GHT service center Skills/Knowledge
Strong Technical & commercial acumen regarding field service applications & operations Basic knowledge and understanding of the oil & gas industry Knowledge of industrial engines and/or cooling systems preferred Industry related contacts preferred Excellent communication skills. Understanding of manufacturing/supply chain/ & operations in an industrial setting Proven negotiating skills. Ability to work independently with high level guidance. Must be able to develop account/region/industry specifics strategies and execute a long-term plan Local travel daily, overnight travel as needed to meet customer demands Education
High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred Trade School or Technical Certification or equivalent in a business or technical field preferred Experience
5+ years experience in oil & gas Industry required Minimum 3 years in sales/account management or customer facing role preferred Background of industrial engines and/or cooling systems preferred Experience in one or more of the following industries: Pressure Pumping, Drilling, Gas Compression, Power Generation preferred Vald drivers license
