Are you a motivated leader passionate about uplifting youth in our community? The Boys & Girls Club of Silicon Valley (BGCSV) is seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to help us drive our mission of providing equitable access to social, academic, and career opportunities. As Chief of Staff, you will be an essential part of our leadership team, supporting the leadership team in aligning our strategic priorities. This full-time role is ideal for a strategic thinker and skilled project manager who excels at building collaboration and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support: Partner with the CEO and Board to manage critical initiatives and drive organizational goals.

Project Management: Lead cross-functional projects that align with our strategic vision.

Administration & Compliance: Ensure adherence to non-profit requirements and contribute to our management framework.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven leadership experience, ideally in the non-profit or public sector.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

A track record of managing projects and engaging diverse stakeholders.

Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) is a plus.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

Work closely with organization leaders to set strategic priorities and establish metrics for success.

Serve as a key partner with the CEO to the BGCSV Board of Directors, focused on board recruitment and engagement and strategic external partnership opportunities.

Become an indispensable partner to the CEO’s Executive Administrator on scheduling, broader organizational, administrative duties, and Board logistics coordination.

Project Management

Manage a portfolio of long-term, cross-organizational projects to drive organizational goals (Examples may include implementing new program initiatives, optimizing operational processes, or leading strategic partnerships).

Prepare deliverables, including presentations, internal communication, and other communication tasks that equip the CEO and other senior leaders to execute strategic initiatives.

Administration & Compliance

Evaluates the organization’s compliance with the Boys & Girls Club of America membership requirements, governmental administrative requirements, and other legal and operational requirements of a non-profit organization.

Serve as BGCSV’s “integrator” in the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) management framework.

BGCSV has grown steadily over the past decade to become the largest expanded learning organization in Santa Clara County, serving more than 7,000 youth across 35 Silicon Valley program locations with a team of nearly 400 staff.

Required Experience & Qualifications

At least four years of translatable leadership management experience.

Demonstrated record of inclusive and participative leadership as a collaborative team player.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/assignments and deadlines. Proven experience as a chief of staff or in a similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or public sector.

Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional initiatives. Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and provide innovative solutions.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership and board members.
