is a rapidly growing internet service provider. Our mission is to accelerate fiber to home deployment in the United States. We have chosen to focus largely on underserved, disadvantaged communities, which the big ISPs have neglected for years. In fact, in our affordable housing deployments, nearly 20% of our customers are getting broadband internet in their homes for the very first time, because of Flume.

We believe in empowering people with technology, which is why we focus on delivering our fiber network — capable of Gigabit and even 10 Gigabit speeds — directly to people’s homes. Only 8% of homes in the U.S. actually have fiber to the home, and Flume is looking to change that. We are building the better, faster, and more affordable network of tomorrow. Flume is well funded by VCs, strategic real estate and infrastructure funds, as well as other startup founders. Our founding team and early employees come from both startups and telecom alike.

The Marketing Team

You will be leading Flume’s launch activities in new and existing markets as part of our marketing team. Building networks is all about timing and deciding when to hit ‘go’ on a specific market. Flume aims to be the first national asset light ISP, and is looking for someone to spearhead the market selection and subscriber uptake efforts. This team is scrappy but finds the time to make high level business development and investment decisions into markets all across the US. We are being inundated with cities that would like us to apply for various RFPs and property owners who want to bring us to new markets. This role will primarily be focused on spearheading the growth and market efforts in Flume’s current expansion cities on deck for 2024 and beyond.

What You'll Do

Working with internal stakeholders and our key strategic partners, you will take the lead role in launching our first two expansion markets in 2024.

Refine existing market launch playbook and execute strategies to maximize Flume’s subscriber uptake in expansion cities.

Work directly with existing or lead new creative, media and PR efforts, to build awareness of Flume’s gigabit internet in new markets - totaling over 80k homes in 2023.

Manage a six figure++ marketing budget to deploy across digital, out of home, and with brand ambassadors.

Report on success of core marketing programs and make recommendations for optimization both in the short and long term - work with the CEO to influence the next 3-4 markets we select!

Lead and build a team of strong brand ambassadors and sales associates in various markets with strong processes for scaling.

Travel 20% of the time between NYC, LA, and AZ for Flume’s market launch efforts.

Basic Qualifications

5-7+ years of strategy or business development and marketing experience with recognized & leading brands.

Experience in end-to-end execution of large scale successful marketing campaigns in new geographies, going from 0 to 1.

Strong team leadership and people management experience, with strong track record of bringing new products to market.

Bonus Points If..

Experience in building and executing on co-marketing partnerships.

An expertise in growth marketing, with an ability to think and execute on innovative acquisition campaigns.

Strong data and analytical skills. Experience in data-led decision making; you should be able to interpret extensive data and identify the opportunities for growth and optimization.

Experience bringing startup services to a new city from industries like (but not limited to), food delivery, transportation, other last mile activities.

Experience working with real estate and local governments - we have waaay too much inbound from cities at the moment!

Knowledge of and ability to execute Paid Media, SEO, PR, Copy Writing and other facets of marketing crucial to a start-up.
