A law firm seeks an experienced Of Counsel attorney to join its Project & Energy group, focusing on energy transition financing. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-profile, innovative projects in the energy sector. You will engage with complex financing deals and contribute to the development of sustainable energy solutions. The position offers a hybrid work environment with a mix of remote and in-office responsibilities.Duties
Advise on financing and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) for energy transition projects and companies.Provide expertise in tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.Manage legal aspects of financing transactions related to energy projects, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment.Collaborate with teams across multiple jurisdictions on international energy matters.Offer innovative solutions to meet legal and regulatory requirements in the rapidly evolving energy transition space.Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal agreements and documentation.Assist with client relationship management, providing proactive advice on energy transition financing issues.Requirements
At least 9 years of experience in energy transition finance.Extensive experience in handling transactions related to financing and M&A in the energy sector.Proven ability in tax equity, renewable energy tax credit monetization, and other related financing structures.Strong knowledge of the energy transition landscape, including legal, regulatory, and financial challenges.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Must be admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of the position or be eligible for admission.Skills
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to handle complex legal issues.Exceptional writing and communication abilities.Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in handling energy transition and renewable energy finance matters.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage client relationships.
