Position Overview:

As a Tier 3 IT Technician at NBMC, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficient utilization of our information technology systems. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain the clinic's IT infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with other IT team members, medical staff, and external vendors to deliver exceptional IT services in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

Advanced Technical Support:

Provide high-level technical support to resolve complex IT issues escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity problems related to computers, peripherals, and medical equipment. IT Infrastructure Management:

Manage and maintain the clinic's IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and telecommunications systems. Monitor system performance, ensure proper functionality, and implement necessary upgrades or improvements to enhance reliability and security. Security and Compliance:

Implement and enforce IT security protocols to protect patient data and comply with relevant regulations, such as HIPAA. Conduct periodic security assessments and assist in internal and external IT audits. Vendor Management:

Liaise with IT vendors to coordinate support, repairs, and maintenance of IT equipment and software. Collaborate with procurement to evaluate and acquire necessary IT solutions. IT Training and Documentation:

Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on IT tools and systems. Create and update technical documentation, including IT procedures, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles. Project Management:

Lead or assist in IT projects, such as system upgrades, software deployments, and infrastructure expansions. Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project implementation and minimal disruption to clinic operations. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging technologies and IT best practices in the healthcare industry. Propose and implement improvements to streamline processes, enhance system performance, and increase efficiency. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 IT technician, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and servers, Microsoft SQL server, Linux, along with familiarity with EMR systems. Strong knowledge of VMware: vSphere, Horizon, AppVolumes , and DEM. Strong understanding of Network Firewalls, Switches, and Vlan's. Knowledge and experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, and SD-WAN a plus. Experience with Active Directory Roles and Services, Group Policy, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, and the Microsoft 365 Enterprise Suite. Understanding of IT security principles and compliance requirements, particularly in healthcare environments. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff. Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Certifications such as VCP-DCV, Network+, Security+, or relevant vendor-specific certifications are a plus.
