seeks a
ULO Analyst
( Budget Analysis, Sr Analyst)
to support a federal government client in the Arlington, VA area. The role addresses a backlog of un-liquidated obligation (ULO) balances and maintains an on-going review of the status of obligations to close out completed contracts and de-obligate balances which are not deemed valid. ULO Analysts follow directorate or office specific processes which may vary, with activities, workflows, and systems/tools governed by SOPs that typically evolve over time.This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 3 days on-site per week, but may vary based on client requirements. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Remote work is not authorized for this position.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with Resource Management to get listing of un-liquidated obligations.Perform analysis, prioritize, and coordinate with program offices for action.Collect data input from program offices and report to management and the department Deputy CFO.Coordinate with Acquisitions Office on contract obligations which need to be closed out.Perform statistical analysis to update management and program offices.Provide reports to client management and Resource Management.Issue monthly and quarterly reports.Select high risk items for tracking and follow-up.Coordinate with Programs to work offices on the high-risk list.Assist in developing memos to vendors on contractual obligations.Coordinate with POCs of other agencies on obligations issued.Develop Bureau-wide quarterly and monthly reports.Produce reports for Year-End Certification.Coordinate with the Department Comptroller OfficeRespond to the Deputy CFO tasks sent periodically to client senior management.
TravelLocal travel up to 10% may be required, but is not expected on a regular basis.Required Qualifications5-7 years of experience with ULO management.Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Office 365.Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with personnel and other government agencies at all levels.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Experience working with databases and financial processes.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Possess critical thinking skills to conceptualize solutions within specified parameters.Must maintain professional competence and specialized knowledge base by keeping abreast of emerging themes and best practices.Must be a US Citizen.
Desired QualificationsExcellent research and briefing skills.CGFM or other relevant professional certifications.
EducationBA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant Business Field.ClearanceSecret with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance; employment is contingent on passing the government clearance process.CompensationThe MIL Corporation values your contributions and offers a range of benefits to support your overall well-being.
