The State Records Center and Archives (SRCA) preserves, protects, and facilitates access to public records that are held in trust for the people of New Mexico. SRCA responsible for the administration of the Public Records Act and the State Rules Act, as well as portions of other statutes. We ensure rules decreed by State agencies are published and accessible.

Duties of this position includes: * Network Administration, security planning and backup * Configuration, administration, monitoring of network infrastructure and connectivity * Desktop hardware/software configuration and deployment * MS Server Systems Administration for application and storage management * Active Directory Systems Administration * Virtual Environment Administration to include Microfocus Content Manager Administration and backup

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following: * Network administration and troubleshooting network connectivity issues * Design, documentation, and implementation of new network systems * Firewall, VPN, and switches, Wi-Fi routers * Network monitoring software * Patch management and anti-virus endpoint administration * Training in IT security practices and working with peers * Servers running Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2019, 2022 * Microsoft SQL Server, VMWare 6.7 administration and Veeam 9 backup software * WordPress v5.8 for web site administration and updating
Minimum Qualification
Associate's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, Engineering or similar technical degree and two (2) years of experience in end user support, systems administration or network administration. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver¿s License and must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Incumbent responds, on a rotating schedule, to callback at any hour of the day on weekends and holidays for communications system diagnostic and restoration. Very long hours (10-12 hour days) are sometimes necessary to cope with system problems. Lifting in excess of 50 - 70 pounds is not uncommon. Working in odd physical postures is necessary when installing or repairing radio equipment in vehicles and on remote site installations.
Travel as needed to the Albuquerque Records Center for systems support.
