A Day in the Life and the Impact You'll Make:

The Business Development Manager will be expected to generate new account business specially in Automotive and EVSE Testing and Certification with and without wireless technologies while also growing and maintaining existing accounts business. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for revenue, growth and customer service targets. In addition, will be the primary business contact with new customers and serve as the customer advocate, the "voice of the customer."

What you will do:Identify and pursue prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshows, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling on key industry players, and referral program.Identify new opportunities and drive conversations forward by advancing sales through the sales process including quoting, follow up, booking, and post sales activities.Meet with prospects to identify their purchase decision makers, understand the decision-making process, and their needs.Support the development of sales presentations to grow the clientele for DEKRA's services.Provide value propositions, handle objections, prepare quotes, and close sales by getting prospects' commitments.Retain existing customers that are not managed by account management teams. Develop strategic customer loyalty and success plans by working closely with operations.Increase the loyalty, retention, and growth of large strategic accounts by facilitating the completion of complex projects and improving the efficiency at which those accounts do business with DEKRASupport with other assigned projects as directed.What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related discipline preferred, or 3 years of outside B2B sales experience, ideally involving new account/customer development within technical/engineering environments such as Aerospace, Defense, Space, Wireless, Automotive, or Consumer Electronics industries.Ability to communicate effectively and concisely.General knowledge of sales processes.Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goalsKnowledge of the Automotive Industry (Validation knowledge) preferred.Understanding of validation, regulatory RF/Wireless testing, EMC and certifications including global market access.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office.Physical Considerations:

Must be able to work in a variety of client locations, environments, and conditions. This may include climbing stairs, walking long distances, walking on rough and uneven terrain, walking through client work facilities, working in heat/cold conditions, indoors and outdoors.Must be able to accommodate working various shifts as client activities are scheduled.Must be able to withstand the rigors of extensive travel.May require difficult travel and long periods of driving.Ability to move and conduct work with full range of motion.Ability to lift 25-50lbs (luggage).Extended periods of computer-based work.Extended periods of standing.Travel Considerations:

Compensation:

DEKRA North America's compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.The base pay for this position ranges from $76,100 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $111,000 annually in our highest geographic market.Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and position-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
