We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Corporate Events to lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of NEOGOV's event portfolio. This role is pivotal in enhancing our brand presence and aligning event strategies with our Account-Based Marketing (ABM) and overall brand initiatives.

What You Will Do

Event Strategy and Planning:

Develop and implement a comprehensive events strategy that supports NEOGOV's business objectives and integrates seamlessly with our ABM and brand marketing plans.

Oversee the planning and execution of NEOGOV's annual user conference, Ignite, ensuring it delivers exceptional value to attendees and aligns with company goals.

Manage NEOGOV's participation in 8-12 industry trade shows and various smaller state events, ensuring consistent and impactful brand representation.

Coordinate efforts on numerous city/county/state shows throughout the year.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of event professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Assign responsibilities and manage workloads to ensure efficient and effective event execution.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered within financial parameters while maximizing return on investment.

Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and service providers to secure favorable terms and cost savings.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

Utilize data analytics to assess event performance, attendee engagement, and return on investment.

Implement insights to continuously improve event strategies and outcomes.

Creative Development:

Design innovative event experiences that captivate and engage target audiences, incorporating NEOGOV's brand identity and messaging.

Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to introduce fresh and impactful event concepts.

Brand Integration:

Ensure all events consistently reflect and enhance NEOGOV's brand image and values.

Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop cohesive event marketing materials and campaigns.

ABM and Brand Marketing Alignment:

Integrate event strategies with NEOGOV's ABM initiatives to target and engage key accounts effectively.

Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure events support lead generation and customer retention objectives.

Who You Are

A strong analytical skill person with a data-driven approach to decision-making and event evaluation.

Creative thinker with the ability to design engaging and memorable event experiences.

Someone with a proven ability to incorporate brand elements into event design and execution effectively.

An excellent negotiator, communicator, and have interpersonal skills.

Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

What You Have

Minimum of 7 years of experience in event management, with a proven track record of planning and executing both internal and external events, including large-scale conferences and trade shows.

Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.

Exceptional budget management skills with the ability to deliver high-quality events within financial constraints.

Experience aligning event strategies with ABM and broader brand marketing initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
