Posted onNov 12, 2024Valid ThroughDec 12, 2024ProfileA law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to manage litigation cases independently, handle diverse accounts across California, and support trial preparation and court filings.Job Duties:Handle local and national accounts throughout California, focusing on general liability matters.Independently manage a varied litigation caseload from inception to resolution.Conduct depositions of clients, witnesses, and experts.Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.Review, analyze, and respond to discovery requests and pleadings.Prepare court filings and ensure timely service to opposing counsel, including proficiency with e-filing systems.Assist with trial preparation and provide support during trials as needed.Maintain accurate and detailed time records for billing purposes.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in the state of California.2+ years of relevant experience in product liability, transportation, aviation, or premises liability.Proven experience with motion practice and conducting depositions.Demonstrated ability to take a lead role in plaintiff and expert depositions.Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of California.Skills:Strong litigation and case management abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Proficiency in legal research tools, MS Office Suite, and case management software.Benefits:
