Lead with Empathy.The Manager of People and Culture will play a key role in strengthening and scaling the People and Culture function at ABCD & Company. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, this role is focused on building a solid HR infrastructure to support a growing organization. The Manager will establish and standardize essential HR processes in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and HR administration, ensuring that they align with the company’s mission and long-term objectives.In this role, you will lead recruitment efforts to attract diverse and top-tier talent while designing a robust onboarding experience that integrates new hires into our inclusive culture. You will also develop a comprehensive internship program to provide interns with meaningful and developmental experiences. As a key contributor to our employee engagement strategy, you will foster a positive workplace culture by implementing initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and champion programs that enhance employee satisfaction and retention. You will also support the establishment and management of our performance management systems to support employee growth, accountability, and development across the agency.Additionally, you will oversee all HR administration functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and the management of our HR systems, ensuring compliance with employment laws and operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to create and implement policies, track HR metrics, and drive strategic initiatives that contribute to organizational growth. Essential job duties included but not limited to:Department Infrastructure & Standardization:In collaboration with the Chief Growth Officer, design, develop, and implement the foundational structures and processes of the People and Culture department.Establish and standardize policies, procedures, and best practices to support a scalable and efficient HR function.Develop systems for tracking and analyzing HR metrics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.Establish infrastructure for workforce planning, including metrics, analytics, and reporting tools, to guide strategic HR decisions.Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:Lead recruitment efforts with an emphasis on building diverse talent pipelines and creating an exceptional candidate experience.Develop standardized onboarding procedures that align new hires with company values, culture, and expectations, setting the stage for long-term success.Collaborate with hiring managers to craft job descriptions, establish candidate profiles, interviewing frameworks, and consistent evaluation criteria.Design, develop, and implement an internship program that provides interns with meaningful experiences and opportunities for growth, ensuring alignment with ABCD & Company’s talent development goals.Employee Relations & Engagement:Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment by establishing processes for proactive employee engagement and conflict resolution.Launch initiatives that promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, laying the groundwork for a cohesive employee experience.Create and implement employee engagement programs, including wellness initiatives, team-building activities, and recognition strategies.Design and implement efforts related to employee anniversaries, life milestones, birthdays, and other celebrations.Contribute to the design of a talent management framework that includes succession planning, career development, and skills gap analysis.Performance Management & Development:Enhance and oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, feedback mechanisms, and development planning to foster employee growth and accountability.Identify and implement training and development programs tailored to the needs of a growing organization and its employees.Provide coaching and support to managers to effectively lead their teams, addressing performance concerns and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Compliance & HR Administration:Ensure the People and Culture department adheres to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations while establishing compliant HR processes and systems.Oversee payroll administration, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, including the coordination of benefits dissemination and processing of employee reimbursements for out-of-pocket expenses through the payroll system.Manage and maintain the HR administration system, ensuring it supports the department's operational needs and aligns with organizational goals.Develop and maintain an employee handbook and other key documents to provide a cohesive understanding of company policies and expectations.Partner with HR and finance teams to streamline HR administrative tasks, including employee records, benefits administration, and system integrations for a seamless employee experience.KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Work Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management, organizational development, or a similar role.Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management.Critical Components for Success in Your Role at ABCD:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive problem-solving approach and a strategic mindset.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.Join Our Team:If you are passionate about strengthening People and Culture functions, fostering an inclusive and engaging work environment, and developing talent, we would love to hear from you!
