SummaryThe Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making within the organization by delivering actionable insights. This role requires a forward-thinking, business-focused individual to create impactful reporting solutions, anticipate and meet the evolving needs of business stakeholders, and establish a data science practice aimed at enhancing revenue, market share, and profitability. The Senior BI Manager will manage a team of analysts and data professionals to provide insights that influence key business strategies, helping decision-makers optimize performance and drive growth.
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement & Business AlignmentAct as a liaison between business leaders and the BI team to understand needs, define priorities, and translate requirements into data-driven solutions.Anticipate and proactively identify future data and reporting needs to support business growth, profitability, and market share expansion.Develop and deliver compelling business insights and recommendations to executives, leveraging dashboards and data visualizations.Leadership & Team ManagementManage and mentor a team of BI professionals, including data analysts and developers, ensuring high-quality, timely reporting and analysis.Allocate resources efficiently, assign tasks, and set clear priorities aligned with overall business goals.Foster a culture of continuous learning, development, and innovation within the team.Strategic BI & Data Science DevelopmentLead the growth of a data science practice within the organization, introducing advanced analytics techniques to derive deeper insights into customer behavior, operational efficiency, and revenue streams.Collaborate with data scientists and technical experts to integrate predictive modeling and machine learning into business processes, enhancing decision-making.Develop and maintain methods for ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and quality across the organization.Technical Expertise & InnovationOversee the development and maintenance of BI tools, dashboards, and data pipelines using technologies like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.Ensure the BI infrastructure is scalable and capable of handling growing data volumes and complexity.Drive the implementation of cutting-edge BI solutions and methodologies, ensuring the organization stays ahead of industry trends.Performance Monitoring & ReportingEstablish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.Provide insights and recommendations to drive revenue growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.Continuously improve reporting processes, ensuring that insights are easily accessible, understandable, and actionable by key decision-makers.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has supervisory responsibility, overseeing the workflow and priorities of the Business Intelligence team. The Senior BI Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction to the team while collaborating with other departments to meet business objectives.
Requirements
Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Experience:7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.5+ years of management experience, including leading a BI or data analytics team.Proven experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Cognos), relational databases, and data warehousing solutions.Demonstrated success in working closely with business leaders to develop data-driven strategies that impact revenue and market share.Strong experience with predictive analytics, data modeling, and machine learning methodologies.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical business stakeholders.Advanced knowledge of SQL, data visualization platforms, and enterprise-level BI systems.Familiarity with advanced analytics and data science techniques, including predictive modeling and statistical analysis.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership.Ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Why Should You Apply?
