Job Summary
The Application Developer with a focus on MuleSoft is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing middleware and integration solutions using MuleSoft and other integration tools. This role involves creating and managing API architectures, working with both on-premises and cloud integrations, and ensuring solutions meet best practice standards for performance and scalability. The Application Developer will be expected to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and contribute to the continuous improvement of integration methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
•Design and develop APIs using the MuleSoft platform, ensuring high-quality integration solutions.
•Architect distributed, multi-tier applications leveraging Mule ESB, creating end-to-end integration deliverables.
•Develop and document technical specifications and recommend solutions for the MuleSoft integration platform.
•Work independently on MuleSoft development tasks and manage complex technical problems.
•Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft integrations using Git-based DevOps tools.
•Conduct code reviews, manage pull requests, and resolve code merge conflicts.
•Implement and manage high-availability environments with clustering, failover, and load balancing strategies.
•Develop B2B integrations, including EDI, HL7, and FHIR.
•Manage messaging services (JMS) and web APIs (SOAP, REST) with OAuth and JWT authentication.
•Utilize MUnit for testing and ensure compliance with integration best practices.
•Mentor and train team members on MuleSoft best practices and methodologies.
•Collaborate with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and CA APM for system integrations.
•Integrate with third-party systems, including Salesforce, Epic, and Vertex.
•Work with various data formats, with a focus on XML, JSON, and flat files.
•Knowledge of IBM Integration Bus (IIB) is a plus.
•Provide expertise in the healthcare domain, leveraging knowledge of healthcare-specific integrations.
Required Qualifications
•15+ years of middleware/integration experience, including 6+ years with MuleSoft.
•MuleSoft Architect expertise with experience in Mule ESB and Cloud Hub integration tools.
•Experience in API/Cloud integration, on-premises/cloud MuleSoft implementations.
•Proficiency in B2B integrations (EDI, HL7, FHIR) and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT).
•Strong knowledge of integration life cycle methodologies.
•Proficient in MuleSoft DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and MUnit testing.
•Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, CA APM.
•Strong understanding of data formats: XML, JSON, flat files.
•Excellent communication and mentoring skills for team collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
•Healthcare domain experience.
•Knowledge of IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
