Job SummaryAlaska OverviewConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. is Alaska's largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2023. The company produced an average of 195 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBOED) in 2023. ConocoPhillips Alaska holds major ownership interests in two of North America's largest legacy equivalent per day conventional oil fields, both located on Alaska's North Slope: Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips Alaska owns and operates several fields on the Western North Slope. The company also has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System and owns and operates the Polar Tankers fleet.

Position Overview

This position reports to the I.T Supervisor for Support Services in Anchorage, Alaska and is part of the Alaska Digital Technology Organization.

The IT Solutions Analyst for Support Services and Aviation supports and contributes to the organization's success. This role requires expertise in application lifecycle management, and technical troubleshooting. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential for articulating solution benefits and risks to customers. This role also involves some budgetary work related to licensing and software management.

We are seeking a motivated, ambitious individual who enjoys working directly with clients and/or management to identify business requirements, provide solution alternatives and utilize their technical knowledge to support, design, build and deliver solutions

Ability to dig deep into solving technical application or data issues where they may be little to no existing team expertiseTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve client reported issues including identifying defect root causesThe ability to clearly articulate technical challenges, offer alternative solutions, seek global support team input and expertise and work through risk assessments with the security team before adopting new software into the portfolio.Ability to successfully integrate into a team environment as a solid teammateSelf-motivated and seeks new, innovative opportunities and ideasAdapting quickly to re-prioritized work queuesUtilizing technical expertise to identify end-to-end solutions to meet the business' needsYour responsibilities may include:

Provide day-to-day application support for incidents; prioritize incidents; participate on a support rotation providing support for critical production issuesPartner with Server, Cloud, Production Control, Database, Web Services, Packaging, Storage, Disaster Recovery, ServiceDesk, Mobility, GIPA (Global Information Protection & Assurance), and other IT teams as part of ongoing operationsAdhere to all company established programming, documentation, change management, project procedures and all corporate policiesCollaborate closely with business customers/subject matter experts, local and corporate IT, and development resources to design, develop and support applicationsIdentify, recommend, and implement IT solutions to meet business requirements, improve business process performance, lower total cost of ownership with consideration of Global I.T technology strategy and standardsProvide technical consulting and guidance to development teams for design and developmentWork with developers to design, develop, and test code and applicationsResearch, learn and recommend innovative technologies as they become available such as AI, ML, Robotics Automation Processing (RPA), PaaS Cloud application development, etc.Be familiar with and follow Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology and Kanban boards for work execution and PI (program increment) planning.Qualifications

Basic/Required:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field or foreign equivalent3 or more years experience in an application support or application development roleIntermediate knowledge with SQL query writing and scriptingIntermediate knowledge of relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake)Preferred:

5 or more years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, preferably supporting Operations and Engineering applications including Corrosion and Asset and Operational Integrity3 or more years hands-on application development and scripting experience (Java, Python, PL/SQL, Perl, C#, etc.)1 or more years experience with application development in low-code software platforms such as Mendix1 or more years experience with Scaled Agile Framework /SAFe/SCRUM PrinciplesIntermediate knowledge of IT and information systems implementation concepts, with an awareness of the full application management lifecycleAnalytical and problem-solving skills - capable of researching unstructured business problems, identifying key people, defining critical business requirements and needs, defining solutions reflecting both information systems and human factor requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skills including documentationListens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve resultsBuilds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions
