Strong academic credentials and superior research and writing skills are essential.Duties:Advise clients on complex insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.Manage and litigate insurance and reinsurance disputes from initial claims through resolution.Draft and prepare various legal documents, including pleadings, dispositive motions, and settlement agreements.Oversee all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, managing document production, and addressing discovery disputes.Conduct depositions, represent clients in court, and handle hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering strategic legal guidance and managing cases independently.Contribute to business development efforts by generating new clients and expanding the firm's market presence.Collaborate with team members on case strategy and legal tactics.Stay current with developments in insurance and reinsurance law and industry trends.Requirements:2 to 6 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.In-depth knowledge of insurance coverage issues under professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.Proven experience in drafting legal documents, handling discovery, conducting depositions, and representing clients in court.Preferred experience in business development, client management, and independent case management.Excellent academic credentials with a demonstrated ability in research and writing.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility to practice in North Carolina.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Superior writing and communication skills.Experience managing complex insurance and reinsurance litigation.Ability to effectively develop and manage client relationships.Proficiency in business development and case management.Capability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
