PURPOSE:The Director, Product is responsible for leading a dedicated product discipline and operations. Supports the continuous evaluation of our portfolio performance and the operations necessary to launch, modify and sunset offerings in the portfolio. Drives the product team capabilities by developing, implementing and/or continuously improving processes. Responsible for developing, planning and carrying out departmental projects, goals and budgets. Leads transformational growth of products to achieve business objectives while maintaining a serious consideration of the financial implications, marketing needs, and the overall objectives of the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sets direction and execution of assigned product discipline(s) ensuring excellent results and continuous improvement. Collaborate with leadership to define the company's product vision and product differentiation strategy. Create and maintain product roadmaps. Manage and monitor the group's performance by collaborating with Sales, Technology, Operations, and Marketing teams.
Develops strategic roadmaps and monitors portfolio performance and/or product implementation. Keeps management advised on progress against goals, potential issues, obstacles, conflicts or challenges. Identifies barriers to project success and negotiates through barriers with major stakeholders to keep progress on track.
Prepare impact analyses and presentations for senior executives. Communicate conclusions for long-term sustainable solutions that influence leadership to adopt transformational solutions. Provide and present detailed reports and recommendations concerning divisional strategic and project issues to executive leadership.
Provide leadership to team(s) of experienced product professionals. Oversee execution of product management and/or implementation responsibilities. Provide guidance and mentoring in areas that need improvement by sharing expertise and experience. Optimize and evaluate the performance of the Product teams based on KPIs, goals, and feedback from teams throughout the company.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:This position manages people.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Experience:
8 years progressively responsible product management experience.
3 years management experience.
Health Plan experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Excellent at executing PM responsibilities, and best practices in an agile organization.
Strong analytical and data-driven business goal mindset.
Results driven with a get-things-done attitude.
Outstanding communicator and collaborator.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks to successful completion.
Product management methodology.
Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence. Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
Salary Range:
$137,840 - $255,866 (salaries are based on education, experience & internal equity).
