Seeking a
Mechanical Engineer
(HYBRID)
for an energy equipment client in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
HYBRID role - 2 days per week in Tulsa Office and up to 20% domestic travel
Base salary up to $130k DOE plus bonus opportunity and full benefits package
Bachelors Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience with oil & gas production equipment (or similar) required
Overview:
This position is in the Production Equipment Business of the company with primary focus to support upstream Oil & Gas process solutions, this includes, separation, combustion equipment and other liquid and gas treating packages. This person will be involved in Project Engineering and design of equipment packages for manufacturing. Should have technical knowledge to understand different processes, P&IDs, sizing & design of equipment for specific applications, and ensure drawings and bills of materials meet design requirements.
Review customer specifications and clarify scope of work for projects. Reviews and analyzes documentation, materials, code calculations, and equipment to ensure compliance with customer, product, safety, quality, and industry standards and requirements. Sets engineering standards and direction focused on continuous improvement, increased efficiency, and cost reduction.
Job Functions:
Works in conjunction with Project Managers to ensure that project scope of work and design parameters are clearly defined
Reviews customer specifications and capable of understanding and creating process P&IDs for packaged equipment
Equipment sizing and design for an application, performs ASME code calculations for pressure vessels using vessel design software
Prepares rotating equipment technical specification, conducts vendor bid analyses and selects equipment, reviews vendor documentation for conformance to the requirements of the specifications
Perform control valves and instrumentation sizing and selection for an application, candidate should have good understanding of functional limitations and basics of control instrumentation
Performs hydraulic and heat transfer calculations for the design of equipment as required
Performs structural analyses of equipment skids using design software as required
Working knowledge of Oil & Gas ASME, ANSI and API standards
Establishes engineering execution schedules and sets up regular status review meetings
Works closely with designers/drafters to ensure that vessel, structural, and assembly drawings and BOM meets project requirements
Coordinates all aspects of technical content changes during design/fabrication and supports project management for revised cost estimates
Prepares functional test procedures for packaged equipment
Provides technical support to manufacturing during fabrication of equipment and participates in LEAN manufacturing process improvement initiatives
