Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $2,439 per week

Certification Details BLS ACLS State licensure Job Details The Surgical and Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SICU and Neuro ICU) has a combined total of 30 intensive care beds designed to provide specialized care to the critically ill adult (14 and older) patient. The unit has a usual 50/50 split of patient population between the neuro and surgical patient population. The focus of care includes patients with life-threatening conditions related to major elective and emergency surgical procedures, multi-trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, seizure, sepsis/multi-organ system failure, hemodynamic instability and failure to wean. Nursing support is required for on-unit procedures. Job Requirements Epic experience REQUIRED Competency test required within 48 hours of submission Must have RECENT Trauma Level One experience 1.5 years of 600 bed academic hospital experience or 2 years of total (traveling perm) experience MUST have competency with EVDs, bolts, ICP management along with experience with trauma and complex surgical patients Unit Specific Information The SICU and Neuro ICU units require experience with ICP monitoring via EVD and bolt, spinal drains/catheters, brain oxygen monitoring, Artic Sun therapy, continuous EEG, intra-arterial catheter, non-invasive cardiac output, mechanical ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy, reconstructive flap monitoring, massive blood transfusion and others.
