As the Director of Network & Fulfillment Advanced Analytics team you will play a key role within Best Buy Data & Analytics COE to drive transformational change in Best Buy’s Supply Chain. You will be responsible for building and overseeing a team to identify, develop and implement a portfolio of analytic solutions supporting network design and fulfillment that contribute to Best Buy’s Human Centered. Data Enabled. World Class Supply Chain.
The contributions of this role directly impact our customers and deliver differentiated value and operational efficiency to Best Buy.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. What You’ll Do
Oversee and direct the identification, scoping, prioritization, activation, delivery, and management of advanced analytical solutions that provide insight to key decisions and provide tools that enable better business outcomesDevelop a team strategic vision and participate in the annual planning processInterface and work cross functionally with other relevant functional areas (Finance, Supply Chain, Category, Technology, Customer Experience, etc.) to drive a greater understanding of the impact of and bring to life comprehensive analytical solutions with seamless executionProvide thought leadership, strategy, and subject matter expertise in all aspects related to network strategy, fulfillment optimization, analytics and data scienceAttract and grow high-quality skilled analytic talent to maximize the collective capability and meet the future needs of the enterprise in partnership with Human ResourcesFoster a learning environment and promote knowledge-sharing across teamsSupport our team’s delivery of high-quality analytics through establishment of best practices, standards and leading cross-team analytics governance forumBasic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university preferably in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related STEM field8+ years of experience in data science, data analysis, data mining or similar business function4+ years of direct or indirect managerial or leadership experience4+ years of experience applying analytical techniques to answer business questions and drive outcomesWorking knowledge of various analytic methods (i.e., data analysis, statistics, operations research and/or machine learning) with application to business problems.Track record of leading advanced analytic teams to identify, define and deliver solutions that drive business impactPreferred Qualifications
Masters / PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related STEM field.Experience leading advanced analytic teams in Supply ChainExperience with network modeling tools such as AIMMS, LlamasoftExperience applying Operations Research techniques to real world decision problemsExperience working with or leading globally distributed teams2+ years of experience managing a portfolio of projectsWhat is in it for youWe are committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
