TravelNurseSource is working with Cogent Workforce Solutions Inc to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Syracuse, New York, 13201 Pay Information $2,000 to $2,400 per week About The Position We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department (ED) team. As an ER RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, emergency care to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of recent emergency nursing experience, with preference given to those who have 2 years of experience and are familiar with the Epic electronic health record system . Key Responsibilities: Provide emergency nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, following established protocols and nursing practices. Assess, triage, and prioritize patient conditions in a fast-paced environment. Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting care as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, technicians, and other healthcare providers, to deliver coordinated care. Float to like units as required, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele) , and take on full patient assignments as necessary. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities in the Epic electronic health record . Respond to emergencies, and provide critical care as needed. Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines. Qualifications: Licensure : Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State]. Experience : At least 1 year of recent experience in an emergency department setting preferred (will consider candidates with 1 year of experience). Certifications : Current ACLS , BLS , and PALS certifications required. Epic Experience : Familiarity with the Epic electronic health record system is a plus. Skills : Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to handle high-stress situations, excellent communication and teamwork skills. Additional Requirements: Must be able to float to like units, including Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele).
