Senior Accountant - Operations in Woodland Hills, CAAs a Senior Account with a focus on Operations, you will ensure timely and accurate accounting for metal and freight-related activities throughout the month-end close cycle, such as metal price variance breakdown, freight processing, vouchering of metal receipts including outside processors, and processing of mill and other vendor claims.What we offer you:$76,600 to $97,700 per year. Salary will depend on several factors, such as years of experience, education, unique skills, performance, labor market conditions, and location.Comprehensive benefit coverage for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drugs, life insurance, and short and long-term disability coverage, plus online medical appointments with our telemedicine program.Options to select additional programs, like pet insurance, or participate in health programs for weight loss, diabetes, hypertension management, and more.401k retirement savings plan with a 6 percent employer match, dollar for dollar.15 paid vacation days.10 paid holidays.Tuition assistance and ongoing professional development.High visibility with exposure to the executive teamStability in a growing, environmentally conscious, publicly traded company.Be part of the Silgan legacy that makes us the market front-runner in consumer packaging.What you'll do:Voucher and validate metal receipts and resolve any potential issues.Coordinate with Silgan plants and metal vendors to resolve incorrect Advance Shipping Notification transitions.Communicate and resolve any payment discrepancies with Procurement and metal vendors.Prepare metal price variance analysis for customer pass-through and present to Sourcing & Pricing.Prepare monthly journal entries, including but not limited to price adjustments, rebates, tariffs, metal route, and monthly true up, and perform account reconciliations.Process all mill/vendor claims, manage the collection process, and prepare the monthly reporting deck for executives.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
