We foster a thriving work environment where employees are engaged in shaping both the company's and their own future.As a key member of the Quality team, the Co-Manufacturing Quality Manager will report to the Director of Co-Manufacturing and Supplier Quality and be responsible for supporting and ensuring the quality and food safety of co-manufactured products for the organization. This individual will support 20+ co-manufacturing facilities to ensure their quality and food safety processes are compliant with required internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams within Lyons to ensure that all products are safely designed and manufactured.Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 / year + bonusLocation: can be located at any Lyons Magnus location. (Fresno, Walton, or Westlake)Core Responsibilities:•Actively supports the mission, values, and vision of Lyons Magnus.•Maintains the best interest of Lyons Magnus at all times.•Works collaboratively and professionally with employees of Lyons Magnus and co-manufacturers in a positive and constructive manner demonstrating courtesy, discretion, friendliness and diplomacy.•Serves as a liaison to Supply Chain on Co-man quality needs.•Creates and implements key metrics and scorecards to monitor the performance of the co-manufacturing facilities.•Ensures co-manufacturing facilities produce safe, high-quality thermally processed foods and beverages in compliance with food safety regulations and customer specifications.•Assists Supports the co-manufacturing sites in the development and implementation of their Food Safety plans for Lyons Magnus products.•Conducts quality and food safety audits at the co-manufacturers to assess compliance with both internal and external standards.•Provides guidance on corrective actions for quality and food safety issues and follow up with co-manufacturers on their timely implementation.•Work with co-manufacturers to manage and resolve complaints, ensuring a timely resolution.•Serve as a resource for conducting risk assessments and assist efforts for leading problem solving and process improvements at co-manufacturing sites.•Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, etc.) to develop and manufacture microbiologically safe and high-quality food and beverage products.•Utilizing internal programs such as DAX, RedZone, & Trace Gains. •Perform other tasks as directed by the Director Coman and Supplier Quality.Supervisory Responsibilities•May direct or oversee the work of others as required for specific projects or tasks.RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities•In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, FSMA) and industry standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP).•In-depth knowledge of SQF standards and GFSI-certified quality systems, with experience in maintaining and auditing food safety and quality compliance at co-manufacturing facilities.•Strong understanding of aseptic processing and filling of food and beverage products, including ingredient management and quality control procedures.•Familiarity with food processing, manufacturing systems, and ingredient quality management.•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes and drive effective solutions.•Ability to conduct audits and inspections to assess quality and compliance, ensuring adherence to both regulatory and internal standards.•Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.•Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Education and/or Experience•B.S. in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering or a related field (advanced degree preferred)•8+ years of experience in food quality assurance and food/beverage manufacturing, with specific experience working with co-manufacturers.•Proven experience in quality management, auditing, and food safety processes within the food and beverage industry.Additional Considerations•Travel Requirements: 30-50% - Will be required to visit co-manufacturing facilities regularly.•Work environment available: In Office Additional Information Our compensation program is designed to attract, motivate, and retain the very best people.
