The Senior Accountant position is part of the medical office property management accounting team inside the Corporate Advisory Solutions (CAS) business unit. This position reports directly the Finance leader for CAS.

To qualify, the candidate must have experience in GAAP accounting, commercial property accounting, CAM reconciliations and property budgets. The position requires an individual who can work independently and with a team, meet all deadlines, give great attention to detail, has effective time management skills with ability to reprioritize needs.

Responsibilities:Follow the provided workflow process and procedures to complete all requirements on time and accuratelyMeet the reporting requirements of Lincoln Property Company, including business requests on company performanceMaintain and review accrual basis property general ledgers, balance sheets and income statements including preparing and recording journal entries requiredReview and research property management billing transactions, including scheduled charges and adjustmentsDaily use of MRI to review monthly rental charges, late fee reporting, CPI Billing adjustments, bad debts, tenant ledgers, and aged delinquency reportingPrepare monthly income statement variances from budget or historical trendsReconcile balance sheet accounts and examine all general ledger accounts for accuracy; and make adjustments as neededReview construction design fees and prepare related monthly spreadsheetsReview monthly General Ledger detail and related automate expense pools for proprietyPrepare monthly recovery accrual entry as well as annual OPEX recovery reconciliationReview cash receipts daily and verify posted in compliance with client guidelinesProvide customer service, guidance and support to the property management team for items such as tenant balances and lease dataDevelop annual budgets with the property management team and/or review budget detailsReview Accounts Payable invoices for coding and proper documentation using AVID electronic systemBe a team player willing to back up other employees in the department as neededComplete special projects as assignedReview lease agreements and abstracts as neededEnter new leases and/or lease amendments into Accounting systemReview and process write-off requestsAssist property management with gathering documents for tenant and operational auditsDesired Competency, Experience and Skills:

Minimum 5 years commercial property experienceYardi and/or MRI experience / KARDIN experience a plusBachelor's degree in accounting is preferredThe ability to read and interpret lease agreementsEffective oral, written and listening communication skillsProfessional interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and in a teamDetail oriented and ability to provide accurate work productsAbility to meet deadlines, good time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel and Word) and Adobe PDFCritical thinking with the ability to apply good judgement to resolve problemsAbility to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

This position is

100% in-office . The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
