Position Overview
The Manager Selection Group stands at the center of strategic private equity relationships, empowering the firm's platform across private credit and equity with a commitment to lasting partnerships and the agile, flexible deployment of opportunistic capital.
This is a multi-faceted role that will be responsible for helping to evaluate both private equity fund investments and co-investment opportunities. Investments may be sourced through existing or new sponsor relationships, investment banks, relationships with companies and management teams, or through the broad Soros Fund Management network. SFM has the ability to invest across the capital structure. The ideal candidate is academically strong with extensive experience in financial modelling and security analysis.
Major Responsibilities
Perform quantitative and qualitative due diligence on Private Equity fundsMaintain relationships with Private Equity sponsors to help source co-investment deal flowEvaluate and underwrite transactions through the construction and use of financial models and other relevant analyticsInteract with internal SFM investment team to leverage resources the firmPrepare deal memos for investment committeeWork with legal to negotiate term sheets and final documentationRequirements
2+ years of Investment banking experience. Principal investing experience a strong plusStrong financial modelling skillsAbility to evaluate the trade-off between return and various sources of riskStrong communication skillsAbility to think creatively and act quicklyHigh attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyWillingness to work within a flat organizationThrives in a team-oriented environmentAnticipated Salary
We anticipate the base salary for this role will be in the range of $150k - $185k. In addition to base salary, the successful candidate will also be eligible to receive a discretionary year-end bonus, as well as other benefits.
