The Financial Risk Department plays an instrumental role in the analysis and risk monitoring of LPL Financial. As a member of the Second Line of Defense, the team is responsible for coordinating across multiple Business Units to ensure that potential exposure stays within LPL Financial's risk appetite. The Sr. Analyst, Credit Risk is responsible for monitoring and measuring the exposure for LPL's margin programs.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monitoring the collateral that is being used to secure credit extended by LPLIdentify concentration in security or sector, wrong way risk, and liquidity concerns through daily surveillance and escalate where necessaryUtilize Value-at-Risk (VaR) analytics and stress testing to ensure potential exposure stays within LPL's Risk AppetiteEnsure margin requirements are appropriate for the level of risk within a given accountPartner with the 1LOD to develop metric aggregation and reporting processDevelop compelling, accurate, and visually effective presentations for executive leadershipLead ad hoc reporting analysis requestsRecognizes issues, problems, or opportunities and determines whether action is needed. Seek perspectives of others to and re-examines assumptions to creatively solve problems and generate solutionsWhat are we looking for?We want strong collaborators who can deliver a world-class client experience. Requirements:
3+ years of experience in the financial services industryBachelor's degree in Finance or Economics from an accredited University or equivalent industry experienceExperience using Captital IQ or BloombergCore Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailKnowledgeable in a wide range of investments, including but not limited to: mutual funds, fixed income products, options, common stocks and annuitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentation skillsProject Management skills to support complicated applicationsAbility to prioritize responsibilities and perform under pressure with competing deadlinesPersonable and reliable self-starter who requires minimal management oversight for day-to day responsibilitiesPreferences:

Pay Range:$78,500.00 - $130,900.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
