Job ID 21307 The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) supports a variety of missions, including NASA's vision to reveal the unknown for the benefit of humankind and the Department of Defense's aim to protect our nation on the ground, in the air, and in space. Our sensors, satellites, software systems, and science and engineering play an essential role in some important missions you've heard of, and others that you haven't. Join our team in our seventh decade of delivering mission success.
We are seeking applicants for a Project Scheduler role who will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of schedules and planning activities to ensure successful project performance and consistent delivery to our aerospace customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepares and maintains detailed program schedulesMaintains standardized scheduling processesSupports Program Managers in reoccurring scheduling and planning meetingsUses critical path method techniques to identify issues and suggests options for resolutionAdvises Program Managers and other lab leaders of project status and escalates problems to ensure staffing, tools, and other resources are availableAssists with large proposal efforts and provides scheduling inputsRequired Qualifications
BS degree in a related field1 or more years in a project planning/scheduling roleUnderstanding of the fundamental concepts of scheduling and project controlsExperience in software planning tools such as MS Project, Primavera, or otherExperience tracking, reporting and presenting program statusMust be creative, resourceful, client-focused, results-oriented, and adjust quickly to new situationsAbility to relate and communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externallyAbility to independently derive answers to problems through research/thought and present ideas persuasivelyMust be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or other U.S. personPreferred Qualifications
Ability to obtain a security clearance in the futureCurrent TS/SCI ClearanceExperience in government contractsExperience in the defense/aerospace industryKnowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)SDL Benefits At SDL, we take pride in and highly value our employees.
