Description
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the IT infrastructure across all locations. This role ensures smooth daily operations by focusing on system administration, network oversight, and end-user support. The successful candidate will oversee both on-premises and cloud environments while contributing to strategic IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Administration:
Oversee the upkeep, configuration, and performance of servers and operating systems.Support directory services and ensure compliance with security policies.Implement and monitor backup and disaster recovery processes.Network Oversight:
Monitor network performance and address issues proactively.Provide secure remote access and administer multi-factor authentication solutions.Ensure network infrastructure aligns with security standards and business needs.Cloud and Virtualization:
Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.Maintain virtual environments to ensure seamless operations.Participate in migrating legacy systems to cloud or hybrid environments.User Support:
Deliver technical support to end-users across multiple locations, both remotely and onsite.Coordinate the resolution of service desk requests and issues promptly.Develop technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.Project Coordination:
Contribute to system migrations, policy implementations, and IT-related projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology solutions with business goals.Work with external vendors to ensure effective service delivery.Communication Systems:
Configure and support interactive voice response (IVR) systems and telephony solutions.Integrate collaboration tools to facilitate effective communication across teams.Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in systems and network administration.Strong knowledge of server administration, cloud platforms, and virtualization.Expertise in directory services, access control, and backup solutions.Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues across various platforms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and time management.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with IT service desk systems.Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.Knowledge of telephony or unified communication systems.Understanding of cloud migration processes and data retention policies.
