Job Summary

The Systems Administrator role is responsible for maintaining essential IT infrastructure including a mixed hybrid leveraging cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This position will maintain the health of AET's integrated systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations. This position works with an internal team and external partners to support the design and management of the expanded infrastructure including switching, firewalls, servers, security platforms, and virtualization technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support and design backend infrastructure and business systems, including but not limited to LAN/WAN, routers, switches, servers, and line of business applications.Support and assist in design Azure based infrastructure.Support and assist in design virtualization technologies.Manage documented formal change management related to infrastructure and security.Manage documented security platforms and services including on-premises and cloud.Monitor security incidents and respond appropriately.Assess or relevant experience and advise leadership on vulnerabilities, threats, or issues and assists with mitigation.Interface with IT teams, vendors, and partners.Monitor backend systems and troubleshoot, patch, and upgrade as needed.Support and assist in the design backup and disaster recovery processes.Stay current with new technologies, solutions and attend classes to keep up to date on current systems.Perform other tasks as necessary to meet departmental or company goals.Qualifications and Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or relevant experience.3+ years' experience in working with Microsoft enterprise infrastructure technologies.3+ years' experience with managing Office 365 and Azure infrastructure technologies.3+ years' experience working with networking, switching, firewalls, and AP's.3+ years' experience working with virtualization technologies in a mixed cloud and on-premises environment.A grasp of security best practices.Excellent Communication skills sufficient to convey complex technical information in a clear manner to diverse audiences.Understanding of the change management process.Experience with working with various teams including internal and external partners.Preferred Skills

Strong team player with the ability to interact effectively with all parts of the organization.Strong facilitator with ability to lead various activities including managing partners, projects, and budgets.Ability to translate requirements into functional specifications and use case.Ability to facilitate planning and design sessions, status updates, and other project meetings.Ability to work independently without a lot of oversight.Ability to set up and operate computers and peripherals.

Work Environment

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This position will occasionally be required to operate in a field environment.
