Torch Technologies is seeking a Network Systems Administrator to join a team to assist Detachment 1, 350th Spectrum Warfare Group, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

This position requires a highly motivated individual, with relevant experience.
The successful candidate will serve as an Information Technology (IT) specialist responsible for assistance in the operation and maintenance of the unit's computer networks and to provide technical assistance, training, and support to customers. Apply computer hardware and software expertise to establish and maintain Government program specific information technology (IT) capability in accordance with Government instructions, policies and procedures Serve as the first point of contact for resolving or escalating issues relating to hardware, software, network, and other issues of computer end users Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software and will respond to queries, runs diagnostics, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required Must have a High School Diploma plus 9 years of experience, an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years experience. Must have a Top Secret clearance, or be eligible to gain a Top Secret clearance. May be required to have the proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program Knowledge, skills and attributes associated with this position(s) include: SQL Server Maintenance: Proficiency in managing SQL Server environments, including configuring, monitoring, upgrading, and performing routine backups and recovery. Understanding of T-SQL for writing and optimizing queries is crucial. Server Backup Management: Knowledge of backup technologies and strategies to ensure data integrity and availability. This includes the ability to configure and manage backup solutions, perform disaster recovery operations, and test backup systems regularly to ensure they meet the company's recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO). Operating Systems Management: Linux: Expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining various Linux distributions (especially Red Hat Linux and SE Linux), including package management, kernel upgrades, and system security. Windows: Competence with Windows server environments, including installation, Active Directory, Group Policy management, and routine maintenance. Network Services Management: DNS: Deep understanding of Domain Name System configuration and troubleshooting. Active Directory: Skills in managing Active Directory elements such as user and group management, policy administration, and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS). Group Policy: Ability to create and manage Group Policies to control the network environment and enforce security settings. Security Management: STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides): Familiarity with implementing and managing STIGs to secure server environments according to standardized security guidelines. Anti-Virus Solutions: Experience with deploying, updating, and managing antivirus software across diverse environments to prevent and mitigate malware threats. Hardware and Network Configuration: Switches and Routers: Knowledge in setting up, configuring, and maintaining network devices including switches and specialized military equipment like TACLANEs. SE Linux and Red Hat Linux Security: Expertise in managing security and permissions with a focus on SE Linux contexts and security policies. Preferred Qualifications:
