The Assistant Professor of Pediatrics will be responsible for assistance in organizing and further developing the research and administrative aspects of the University of Louisville Pediatric Global Health Programs. Currently our major initiative involves our partnership in Northern Ghana with the AMPATH consortium. The Program Manager will assist in coordination of our efforts with national and international partners, assist with grant searches and writing, and will participate in creating research projects and protocols for the Division of Pediatric Global Health.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Research Development for Division of Pediatric Global Health.Assist faculty in the process of developing research projects and protocols, by having knowledge of research methodology and institutional processes.
Assist with the search and application for appropriate grants to further our global health projects.
Assist in creating research protocols and budgets.
Assist with IRB submission and suggested modifications.
Operational Assistance
Coordinate efforts and communication with AMPATH team at New York University, our partners in Tamale, Ghana, and with other AMPATH partner members and institutions.
Collate, organize, and create reports as requested for use by our Pediatric Global Health Division and AMPATH.
Assist with the bidirectional exchange of our global health projects - These exchanges currently involve faculty and residents between the University of Louisville and Tamale, Ghana. May assist with onboarding and preparations for Ghanaian faculty and learners coming to US.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with faculty and staff involved in the UofL Pediatric Global Health Division as well as national and international AMPATH partners and institutions. Work closely with the faculty of the Pediatric Global Health Division.
