We are currently seeking a talented
Level 1 Desktop Support Technician
to join our client's team
onsite
at New York, NY. The logistics portion would be 50% of the time. This resource will assist with common user related items and desktop items. They must have standard server and network experience with the ability to troubleshoot common issues and may require senior support remotely for more advanced items.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primarily perform PC refresh tasksMonitor user booking siteCommunicate with end usersAssist users with new PC setupCoordinate the delivery of new equipment and recover old equipmentUpdate all associated tracking sheets, Inventory, PC Refresh Tracking Sheets, PC disposal sheetsCoordinate with facilities to move larger quantities of equipment between buildingsWork with client team to wipe old equipment before disposal
Assist with user cubical moves across companyWork with desktop team on ServiceNow ticketsResponsible for shipping / receiving / inventory controlImage systems with instructionPerform hardware repairs on laptopsProvide first / second level contact and problem resolutionImage / reimage laptopsProvide phone support for software issues using remote control softwareProvide extensive software support for client inhouse developed medical softwareProvide timely communication on issue status and resolutionMaintain ticket updates for all reported incidentsInstall, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010, and other authorized desktop applicationsInstall, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot for printers / computer hardwarePerform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printersPerform remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipmentUse diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware / softwareSkills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related fieldMinimum 1+ years of IT experienceCompTIA A+ certification requiredExperience with Windows 7-10, Microsoft Active Directory, utilization of GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, Enterprise anti-virus solutions, helpdesk ticketing systemsBroad experience of IT with basic understanding of networks and serversMust have proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsMust have proven ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities, and meet SLA'sMust be adaptable and flexible in a fast-changing industry and work environmentExcellent communication, relationship-building, and internal customer service skillsThis position requires the ability to work in a project-based environment requiring flexibility and teamwork
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
