This is an open, competitive, Career Service opportunity. Description: This is a paraprofessional position assigned to the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency. The incumbent provides a high level of administrative support to management personnel and is responsible for a wide range of duties to help maintain the smooth flow of day-to-day operations. The incumbent in this role is required to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Annual Salary: $33,760 annually. Salary does not include an additional bi-weekly competitive area differential of $48.80. Internal salary appointments are determined according to DCF Salary policy.
Typical Duties:
Manage incoming and outgoing telephonic, electronic communication and written correspondence.
Manage a busy calendar.
Operate office equipment with proficiency and use a variety of accounting, word-processing, graphic presentation, and database software applications.
Manage ordering of supplies.
Compose and distribute a variety of correspondence.
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Perform special assignments, prepare reports and related duties.
Minimum Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative experience. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience. Administrative or clerical experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Essential Skills: Proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), excellent typing, communication, writing, and time management skills are needed to perform the duties of this position.
