What You Will Achieve
The primary purpose of this job role is to function as a supporting member of the Vendor, Reagent, and Sample Logistics (VRSL) operations within Pfizer Vaccine Research and Development (VRD). The incumbent will be responsible for supporting activities within VRSL. The incumbent will work in a team setting and share roles and responsibilities as assigned by the team leader/manager.
How You Will Achieve It
You may be required to perform job responsibilities in compliance with GxP and all other regulatory agency requirements.
You may be required to perform job responsibilities in compliance with GxP and all other regulatory agency requirements.
You may perform sample storage and sample retrieval from manual freezers and/or BiOS (automated freezer storage system).
You may file, review, organize, and/or archive documents.
You may process samples according to standard operating procedures.
You may complete clinical lab supply requests, which includes shipping forms, labels, and other lab supplies as needed.
You may label vials, including hand labeling and using a robotic tube labeler.
You may manage lab inventory ensuring that lab supplies are ordered, and the lab is fully stocked at all times.
You may be responsible for weekly laboratory checks. This includes checking the calibration status of freezers and ensuring equipment is functioning properly. You would report any observations.
You may carry out equipment maintenance as often as required.
You may carry out sample disposal/sample destruction according to regulated policies and procedures and document said sample destruction.
You may perform freezer consolidation activities.
You may prepare reagents and buffers according to standard operating procedures.
You may manage samples being returned after clinical and pre-clinical testing has been completed.
You may perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
You hold a Associate Degree in a Science related field or currently enrolled college student in a science related program and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft applications including Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a team setting
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Work in a lab environment for the majority of the workday.
Work with various types of bodily fluids.
Work with live microorganisms (e.g., S. pneumoniae).
Ability to lift racks/boxes up to 10 lbs.

The salary for this position ranges from $25.52 to $42.53 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
