The
Manager of International Business Development , reporting to the Head of International Business Development, will play a pivotal role in supporting the firm's efforts to expand its institutional fundraising activities across global markets. Working closely with senior leadership, you will be responsible for assisting in investor outreach, managing relationships with institutional investors, and coordinating business development efforts in key international regions.
You will be instrumental in executing our global fundraising strategy, providing organizational and logistical support to the team, and ensuring that we continue to build strong relationships with institutional investors, including third-party agents/distributors/managers, pension funds, family offices, and corporate partners. This role will be a hybrid role with preference for candidate to be in Manchester, NH (HQ) or Boston, MA with travel to other offices and clients internationally.
What you'll do
Investor Relationship Management
Support senior executives in managing relationships with institutional investors, organizing meetings, preparing materials, and following up on investor inquiries.Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for existing and potential investors, coordinating communications and providing updates as needed.Fundraising Support:
Assist in the execution of the firm's fundraising strategy by managing investor pipelines, tracking communications, and ensuring timely follow-up with prospects.Prepare and maintain investor presentations, due diligence materials, and quarterly reports to share with institutional investorsMarket Research & Analysis:
Conduct research into global institutional investor markets, identifying potential opportunities for business development and fundraising in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.Analyze investor trends and competitive market positioning to support business development strategies.Event Coordination:
Coordinate logistics for international investor meetings, roadshows, and networking events. Manage scheduling, travel arrangements, and event preparation for senior leadership attending international events.Represent the firm at select international conferences and networking events, helping to build the firm's profile and relationships within the industry.Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, investment, and legal, to create tailored marketing materials, pitch decks, and due diligence reports for institutional investors.Support internal processes by tracking progress in the investor pipeline and ensuring data accuracy in CRM systems.Requirements
Bachelor's degree
in business, finance, or a related field preferred. Master's degree or CFA designation is a plus but not required.4-7 years
of experience in business development, investor relations, or fundraising, ideally in venture capital, private equity, or asset management.Experience working with
institutional investors
(pension funds, family offices, corporates and third-party distributors) or exposure to international business development is a plus.Familiarity with the
venture capital
and
alternative investment
landscape, as well as institutional fundraising processes.Strong
organizational
and
project management
skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal
communication skills , with a proven ability to create high-quality investor materials and presentations.Comfort in working in a
fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
and collaborating across different teams.Travel internationally (approximately 10-20%) to support investor meetings and attend conferences.
Base Salary:
$100,000 - $150,000 USD, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus of 15% - 40%, and equity
