Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Temporary RN Internal Traveler for their 24 Bed Med/Surg - Hematology Unit located on the 5th floor - 5 West

Traveler assignment to work 14 weeks, full time Temporary,

Night shif

. Requires two or more years of hospital in-patient acute care RN Stepdown hospital experience. Must have valid RN lic.

$70 Pay rate and Potential $5000 Sign on bonus for a 14 week contract.

Eligible for $5000 Sign on Bonus living more than 50 miles from the facility working.

Department Overview

This is a brand new state of the art 24 bed unit that offers a wide variety of medical diagnosis from CHF, COPD, Sepsis, Pneumonia, Diabetes, Stroke, end of life to name a few, with specialty in caring for those with chronic blood disorders such as Sickle Cell. You will also become very knowledgeable in procedures such as wound vacs, high risk medication infusions, telemetry, trach care, chest tubes, peritoneal dialysis, etc.

Job Summary

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Qualifications:

N-2YR - RN-Associate's Degree (Required), N-3YR - RN-Diploma (Non-degree) (Required), N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree
