Responsibilities Provide maintenance support for the equipment, utilities, and facilities within North American Logistic Operations (NALO), with primary responsibility at the Plainfield Distribution Center and as needed support at the Enfield and Fresno Distribution Centers. Responsibilities include maintenance and troubleshooting activities on air handling systems, chill room refrigeration systems, electrical systems, instrumentation, boilers, and automated material handling systems. Key Objectives/Deliverables Safely perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, utilities, and facilities at NALO in accordance with Lilly and regulatory requirements. Provide support for maintenance activities at Enfield and Fresno Distribution Centers as required. Ensure all maintenance records are properly documented through work orders and entered into GMARS (CMMS). Provide support for engineering projects. Participation in safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment is maintained within NALO. Responsible for ensuring data integrity and good documentation practices while performing job tasks. Basic Qualifications High School, Associate degree or equivalent experience Experience with building systems including instrumentation calibration, HVAC, refrigeration systems, compressed air, water, chilled water, boilers, etc. Technical Training in Electrical trade. Electrical skills and experience with AC, DC, PLC’s, servo, stepper motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), 480v three phase distribution systems, three phase switchgear, uninterruptable power supply (UPS), and backup generators. Demonstrated mechanical/electrical knowledge to analyze and solve problems on various process instrumentation and switchgear. Experience determining changes in performance using VOM, oscilloscope, signal generator, rules, calipers, multimeter, feeler gauges and other measuring instruments. Knowledge of automation software that supports various materials handling equipment. Good communications and documentation skills. Strong self-management and organizational skills. Working knowledge of cGMP’s Proficient GMARS (CMMS) user. Ability to work well as member of a cross functional team including Engineering, Operations and Quality. Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and other safety aspects pertinent to maintenance activities. Willingness to support off-hours emergency maintenance issues at PDC. Additional Skills/Preferences Experience with building/utility systems including electrical, compressed air, water, chillers, chilled water distribution, boilers, etc. Experience calibrating instrumentation (temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters). Knowledge of automation software that supports various materials handling equipment. Experience with the principles of lean manufacturing to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. Additional Information Requires off-hours support for equipment operating 24/7. Position will be provided a cell phone and is expected to provide off-hours support for critical equipment issues. Occasional travel to Enfield, CT and Fresno, CA is required (normally 5 – 15%). Roof work will be involved, which requires the ability to climb several flights of stairs. Extreme temperatures may be encountered as part of this position (hot summers, cold winters, and chill rooms). Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. may be required to perform some maintenance activities.
