For more information, please visit www.resilience.com Position Summary & Role The Scientist2Cell Line Development is responsible for mammaliancell line culture andcell line development, construct development, cell linecharacterization and stability testing, single cell cloning, as well as optimization of assays for the Biologics, Vaccines and Gene Therapy modalities. The Scientist2shouldalsopossessknowledge andexperience withViral cell line transfection and engineering, including AAV or LVV stable gene incorporation,scientific principles and concepts in fields of cell biology, protein expression, molecular biology,stable and transient transfections, clone screening, small scale bioreactors, and DNA PCR.The Scientist2willbe responsible forexecutingexperimental approachesnecessary to implement corporate strategy.Experience with microbial expressionisdesirable. Job Responsibilities Responsible forexecutionofstate-of-the-art technology to developcell linesand clones. Determines requiredexperimentsforupstream processes including stable and transient transfections, selections, clone isolation, screening, scale-up, and fed-batches in shake flask. Responsible for developing and performing small-scale bioreactor runs for celltesting and production. Skilled in molecular biology including recombinant cloning and preparation of expression vectors, RT-PCR, and other standardcellbiology techniques. Perform antibody and other protein quantitation and assessment using Octet, SDS-PAGE, western blots and other techniques. Assist in data analysis related to upstream processes and assays and experimental outcomes. Contribute to cell culture development efforts Assist in research, product, and process development for current and novel work. Participate in maintaining capabilities, databases, laboratories, equipment, and supplies in the areas of protein engineering, cell biology, and cell line development. Write and review R&D protocols, SOPs, reports, and other product development and R&D documents. Support Manufacturing and other departments as needed. All other tasks as needed or assigned by supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Background in mammalian cell culture including CHO suspension cultures and in mammalian cell line development. Strong writing, analysis, and communication skills,both oral and written. Must have excellent organizational planning skills with attention to details. Preferred Experience, Education & Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a PhDinmolecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field with suitable experience reflecting the skillset required in the position. AnMS or BA/BS will also be considered. Experience in process development and/or manufacturing. Ability to connect at all levels of the organization and work well in teams. Must be proficient in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload with effective independent follow-up with timely results. Able to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
