What will you be doing: The Nurse Practitioner is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process, supervision of clinical practice, research involvement, consultative services, inter and intra-departmental liaison, education, leadership and patient care management across the health care continuum including preventative care acute care through discharge, and ambulatory care environments. Clinically manage Neurosurgery patients through the continuum of care alongside Neurosurgery Residency team. Comfortable collaborating closely with patients and families to develop and implement specialized treatment plans that cater to individual needs in our outpatient Neurology clinic Analyzes and prioritized the care of clinically complex patients/clients, including sociocultural, cognitive, functional, nutritional and educational evaluation, leading to the development of a problem list and patient management plan and communicates to patient, family and interdisciplinary team. Develop and implement patient management plans and assist in provision of continuity of care. Patient advocate throughout the care process and represents the medical center at regional and national meetings/conferences. Assesses quality of patient care delivery and finds opportunities for changes in practice, rooted in evidence-based standards of care/protocols, which promote positive patient outcomes.QualificationsExperience Requirements: Zero (0) to Two (2) plus years of NP experience. (preferably in Neurosurgery and/or Neuro Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or in an outpatient Neurosurgery clinic setting) Educational/Licensure/Certifications Requirements: Master of Nursing Degree Graduate of an accredited Nurse practitioner program approved by the California Board of Registered Current State of California Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner License National Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC/AANP) Current DEA license and Furnishing license or eligibility to acquire Current ACLS certification requiredAbout UsCedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
