Truck Driver (Hazmat Certified), 2nd shift

Overview:
The Truck Driver provides services for deliveries of supplies and products, loading and unloading trucks, inspecting deliveries, transferring stock, pulling orders, and maintaining inventory. Delivery and pick up of supplies and products are primarily local but may require out of town trips and return the same day.
Responsibilities:
Loads and unloads truck.
Verifies load against shipping papers.
Drives truck to destination.
Prepares receipts for load picked up.
Maintains truck log.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies (pre-trip inspection) such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water and keeps them in good working order.
Adheres to all safety requirements, including federal and state regulations.
Assists Material Handler with shipping and receiving tasks when there are no truck deliveries to make.
Other duties may be assigned
Competencies:
Must be able to navigate efficiently and obey all safe operating procedures. Has strong knowledge of state regulations for driving motor carriers.
Must have a driving record in good standing with none of the following violations:
Any major violations within the last three years (DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, drugs, leaving the scene)
Two or more other moving violations or one at-fault accident in the last three years
Three or more moving violations in the last three years
Two or more at-fault accidents in the last three years with no moving violations
Drivers will not be qualified for this position if they meet or exceed any of these four guidelines at any time during the course of their employment.
Acceptable DOT drug test history is also required.
Requirements:
Licensed Forklift Operator, Licensed Commercial Driver License, US DOT Hazmat certified.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move, traverse, and position self in and out of delivery truck. The employee is frequently required to communicate, converse with, convey, and discern.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
